Bypass Geo-Restrictions
What are geo-restrictions?
When an organization (streaming service, banks or some governments) decides that they only want to provide part, or all, of their offerings to certain locations, they geo-restrict the content.Geo-restrictions are what makes you see that depressing phrase: ‘Content unavailable in your region’. But you don’t want to choose different content! Control D, like a VPN, can make you appear as if you are in another country.
How does Control D help?
We’ve done the hard work for you, putting together 300+ services (like iPlayer, Facebook and Wikipedia) so that you can redirect them through a location of your choice. Yes, this means that if a "popular streaming site" has some content only available to those in Japan, in a few clicks you can access that content as if you were there. You can even redirect every Service to a different location, if you like - so you can watch content locked to Japan while your girlfriend watches content locked to Sweden in the next room. The power is in your hands, and there’s no need to ‘switch servers’ as you would with a VPN.
