Updates – September 2025
September Control D updates: Entra ID, Slack/email routing for page unblock requests, API token allowed IPs + editing, and much more.

We hear you: speed, security, and simplicity matter most.
That’s why this month we’re rolling out features like SSO with Microsoft Entra ID, bulk Endpoint actions, and improved unblock request routing, all built to make your day-to-day a whole lot easier.
Read on to see what’s new.
1. Single Sign-On With Microsoft Entra ID

This has been a highly requested feature, and we’re proud to say it’s finally here: Single Sign-On with Entra ID.
No more juggling extra logins, you can now set Microsoft Entra ID as your SSO provider, letting users sign in with their existing Microsoft credentials. Setup is straightforward, with full docs available to guide you through the configuration.
2. Unblock Requests, Routed Your Way

Sometimes users hit a block they genuinely need lifted, and the way those requests reach you can make or break productivity.
That’s why we’ve upgraded Custom Block Pages to give you full control over how unblock requests are routed. You can now:
- Send unblock requests directly to a list of email addresses.
- Drop them straight into a Slack channel via Webhook.
- Redirect users to your own external request form.
- Disable unblock requests entirely.
This means fewer manual steps, faster response times, and a workflow that fits neatly into the tools you already use.
3. Bulk Actions for Endpoints

Managing Endpoints at scale can be tedious, but not anymore! With our new bulk actions feature, you can now modify or remove multiple Endpoints with a few simple clicks.
Adjust type, enforce Profiles, toggle Analytics, update comments, or even delete them without the hassle of one-by-one edits.
📌 Note: This is for Organization accounts only.
4. API Token Superpowers

For the API power users, we’ve added new flexibility and tighter security controls:
- Define an Allowed IPs list for each token.
- Edit a token’s name, type, and IP restrictions whenever you like.
This makes token management cleaner, safer, and less mysterious when you come back months later and wonder, “Who created this one?”
5. Free Tool Upgrade

Our popular Website Link Checker has a new name, “Is This Link Safe?”, but more importantly, it got a serious upgrade.
It still flags risky URLs to help you avoid malware, but now it also explains why and gives far more insight. When you test a domain, you’ll see:
- Classification labels
- Reasoning + confidence scores so you understand the verdict
- DNS records, WHOIS data, and TLS results
- Geo information for hosting context
6. Security & Trust, All in One Place

Our new Security & Trust page lays out exactly how we protect your data and the industry standards we follow.
Instead of digging through documentation or waiting for an email reply, you can now find all relevant information in one single location, such as our SOC 2 Attestation, Service Level Agreement, and Data Processing Agreement – there’s also an FAQ for additional context.

7. Control D YouTube Channel

We know the first steps matter most. That’s why we’ve launched a brand-new YouTube channel that walks new users through setup in just a few minutes.
Whether you’re exploring Control D yourself or rolling it out across your team, these quick videos keep things simple.
Be on the lookout for more bite-sized guides to help you and your team get the most out of Control D.
