We’re back with our regular roundup of product improvements from the past two months – and this time, the focus is on convenience, clarity, and control.
Whether you're managing a growing fleet of devices, testing your network for edge-case vulnerabilities, or just trying to keep your invoicing clean, there’s something in this release for you.
Here’s what’s new in July.
1. SOC 2 Type II Compliant
This one’s big: Control D is officially SOC 2 Type II compliant!
We’ve always been serious about security, and now we’ve got the audit to prove it. SOC 2 is all about ensuring systems are secure, available, and confidential. Meeting these standards means we’ve got rock-solid processes in place to protect your data.
You’ll now see the SOC 2 badge on our homepage, but more importantly, it’s a signal that you can trust us to keep your traffic (and your business) safe.
2. New Tax ID Field
We’ve added a much-requested field to the My Organization tab: Tax ID.
This small change makes invoicing and accounting a lot smoother, especially for teams that need it for tax compliance or bookkeeping.
Simply navigate to the My Organization tab on your Dashboard, enter your Tax ID once, and it will be automatically displayed on all future invoices.
3. Upgrade All Instantly
Manually updating multiple devices can be a time-consuming process. But now, you can update all your devices running ctrld
to the latest version with just one click, right from the Dashboard.
Whether you manage 5 devices or 5,000, it’s the easiest way to make sure your setup is always running the latest version without the usual update fatigue.
📌 FYI: The latest ctrld
version is v1.4.4 – be sure to update if you haven’t already.
4. Endpoint Comment Search
Remember that one Endpoint you marked as “testing only”... or “do not touch”, but forgot entirely what you named it? Now you can actually find it by searching for any Endpoint by its comments.
It’s one of those small features that makes a big difference when you’re managing hundreds (or thousands) of Endpoints.
