Control D Updates: March 2026
Control D's March 2026 updates bring Dragonfly domain intelligence, ISO certification, and a handful of quality-of-life improvements you'll actually notice.
It’s been a while. From the outside, it may have looked like we slipped into winter hibernation after our last roundup in December, but the team has been anything but idle.
This is our first look at what we’ve been up to in 2026, and there’s quite a lot to share. It includes a brand new domain intelligence tool, a major compliance milestone, and a set of quality-of-life improvements that cut down on unnecessary clicks.
Oh, and we launched a podcast. More on that in a moment.
Here’s everything new.
1. New Tool: Dragonfly

Meet Dragonfly, our new domain categorization tool.
It’s built for those moments when a domain gets blocked and you need to know exactly why. It shows you what that domain is, how it's categorized, and how it behaves.
Under the hood, Dragonfly pulls together DNS records, TLS data, WHOIS information, GeoIP signals, and outbound connections, then distills it all into a clear category with a confidence score. Think of it as the Domain Test tool but with a microscope.
Dragonfly is live now. Try it for yourself.
📌 Note: If a domain's classification doesn't look right, you can report it directly from the results page and help sharpen the model over time.
2. We're ISO Certified

Some milestones are worth pausing for, and this is one of them. Control D is now ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 27701:2019 certified.
If those numbers and letters mean something to you, you'll know why we’re so proud of this. If they don't, the short version is that an independent auditor reviewed how we handle security and privacy across the entire organization, and we passed with flying colours.
ISO 27001 is the globally recognized gold standard for information security management. ISO 27701 extends that framework specifically to privacy. Together, they represent a rigorous, third-party verified commitment to protecting your security and data.

3. Full Metal Packet: Our New Podcast

We also launched a podcast this year called Full Metal Packet.
In each episode, our co-founders, Yegor Sak and Alex Paguis, sit down with IT leaders, CISOs, and SecOps teams to dig into real incidents from the frontlines: the breaches, the tactics, and the lessons learned.
No fluff, no vendor pitches, just real conversations with people who've been in the trenches.

4. Find Unconfigured Endpoints Instantly

In a large fleet of Endpoints, it is easy for a few unconfigured ones to slip through the cracks. Finding them used to mean sorting by "Last Active" and scrolling aimlessly, hoping to eventually spot the unconfigured ones. Not anymore.
There's now a "Not Configured" dropdown filter on the Endpoints page that instantly surfaces the Endpoints that need attention. Consider the doom-scrolling officially retired. We also cleaned up the list menus with a clearer "Sort by" label while we were at it.
It’s a small change, but it should save you a whole bunch of time.
5. One Click to Clear All Stats Filters

Anyone who spends time in the Statistics page knows how quickly refinements stack up. Getting back to a clean slate used to mean clicking each filter pill individually to remove them, which was tedious to say the least.
We heard you loud and clear. Now there's a "Clear Refinements" button sitting right next to your refinement pills. One click, and you're back to zero.
6. Faster Pages, Across the Board

This one won't show up as a shiny new button anywhere, but you'll feel it.
We've upgraded the underlying website infrastructure to improve performance and reduce page load times across the board. Faster rendering, snappier navigation, and less waiting around across the whole platform.
It’s a quieter kind of improvement, but one that you’ll appreciate every time you open the Dashboard.
What Else?
- Accessibility improvements across the website
- Improved the Setup Guide for Free DNS resolvers
- Improved the SSO user deletion flow for organizations
- New Case Studies page
- Updated the Website Link Checker tool to Is This Link Safe?
