Here are some of the things we worked on in the past few weeks, and what's coming in the near future.
IPv6 Support
This has been fully rolled out to all datacenters except Sydney and Chennai, where the work still continues. We're doing the finishing touches on the route engineering front before we fully release it for inbound connections, which will happen any day now.
New Datacenters
We're prepping hardware in 3 new locations:
- Los Angles - migrating from our current provider to a new one that offers better routing/transit in the region
- Frankfurt - new location, waiting for final hardware delivery
- Mumbai - will potentially replace the Chennai location and will offer better connectivity with Jio and Airtel
Multi-Profile Support
Frontend team has been working on this feature for the last 2 months and it's coming along nicely. We have it fully functional, however finishing touches are still needed as we're rolling out tutorials/explanations of all sections along with it.
Free DNS Builder
We're overhauling our free DNS server offering to include more ready-to-use configurations, a custom configuration builder, and a fully overhauled page where all of this will reside. It will be released with the multi-profile support, or shortly after.
Overhauled Global Proxy
We're changing the name to "Default Location" and changing the way that it's presented in the control panel. Auto mode will feature end to end IPv6 support, while Manual mode (Custom Location) will be IPv6-to-IPv4.
